This one is along the road leading to The Rez. There were lots of dandelions and tiny purple flowers along this fence.
I found this fence bordering the pond at the Douglas Hart Nature Center. ..
...along with this walkway which leads to a view of the wetlands. We saw a lot of geese and ducks enjoying their wetland experience, so we were on our way to a closer view. That's Hubs up ahead. I'm always way behind. That darn camera of mine is always stopping to take pictures.
Linking to Good Fences
Oh I love your fences and my darn camera always does the same thing I am always waiting for it:) B
ReplyDeletei find myself oohing and aahing over some of the simplest barbed wire or mesh fencing if it has good weeds, blooms, posts, stays, etc. i like your finds!
ReplyDeletethanks, dear roan!
Your fences are great!!
ReplyDeleteI'm always being left behind as I stop to photograph things. I love the peeling red paint on that fence, great photos.
ReplyDeleteI love your nature with fences♡♡♡
ReplyDeleteMy dear husband takes me places where I ask him. As he has handicap with his both legs, he cannot walk long. He mostly waits me in the car patiently p;)
Sending you Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*
What a nice spot. That old red fence has some history.
ReplyDeleteI'm admiring the dandelions. ;)) Who'da thought I'd be looking forward to dandelions?
ReplyDeleteLook up, look down, look all around. Always something beautiful along a fence line. Like the crooked fence posts in the first pic.
ReplyDeleteYou're right of course. There are so many uses and so many types of fence plus they are so useful to wildlife, birds in particular.
ReplyDeletelove the flowers along the fence, love the red against those fantastic tree reflections. great composition on that one. and i have way to many photos of hubby in front of me, because my camera does the same thing.
ReplyDeleteTerrific finds Roan. I like the backdrop of the red railing at the nature center.
ReplyDeleteI like this 'wobbly' woven fence.
ReplyDeleteIt's like a lovely walk in the woods!
ReplyDeleteGreat set of photos

Don't you just love that red against the pond! And of course I like to see dandelions. They're one thing I can count on to grow up here in zone 3. :-)
ReplyDeleteMore and more, I am struck by the beauty of simplicity. I like your fences today!
ReplyDeleteI like your fences Roan. Amazing how our cameras have a mind of their own isn't it ... what can one do!! Cheers now :D)
ReplyDeleteI particularly like the red fence scene. Pretty area.
ReplyDeleteAwesome reflection in that second shot!
ReplyDeleteA lovely area to explore. I like the red fence!
ReplyDeletethe purple dead nettle and dandelions lining that first fence makes for a great shot. love that second and third fence. it looks to lead to more great exploring. hope you enjoyed the ducks/ geese. have a great day~
ReplyDeleteWeeds and fences definitely go together.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it fun to look for fences. While these may not be unusual they are wonderful fences in their own way. The field of dandelions and other flowering weeds is lovely. I like the bright red fencing and the shot of your hubby walking down that trail is really nice. Had to laugh about your darn camera making you stop to take pictures!
ReplyDeleteThese are all great fence images! We are seeing those little purple flowers in our fields around here, too.
ReplyDeleteI love the red fence bordering the pond - such a great accent!
I'm always behind the trailblazer, too, with my camera. I joke with my husband that I'm like a dog that has to stop and sniff
something every 3 feet! lol!

Beautiful photos of the fences and the spring surroundings. I love this time of year when the leaves aren't quite out yet (barely budding here!) but it's greening up. My camera does the same thing to me. :)
ReplyDeleteRoan, these are gorgeous photos! I love the look of bare or nearly bare trees. And fences.
ReplyDeleteI like the slash of red across the pond.
ReplyDeleteNice photos of honest, purposeful fences. I do like the peeling red paint on the pond fence.
ReplyDeleteThe flowers along the first one are beautiful! Nice shots!
ReplyDeletei love the red fencing. rustic & just perfect!! ( :
ReplyDeleteMy darn camera keeps me way behind everyone else as well! I love the red fence! It's the perfect amount of worn and "look at me" right there out in the open!
ReplyDeleteLovely fences!
ReplyDeleteLove the red fence! The last scene reminds me of our nature center in town. But even though I have the camera, I'm always the one ahead while hubby dawdles. I'm too impatient to go on to the next thing!
ReplyDeleteI like all of your fences Roan, great photos!
ReplyDeleteI love these fences especially the first one.
ReplyDeleteGreat fence photos...funny thing, my camera slows me down, too!
ReplyDeleteLovely fence scenes, Roan! I love the walkway at the wetlands. Beautiful photos, have a happy weekend!
