I saw this wheel leaning up against a tree at the edge of a lawn. The building in the background is an old log cabin that was once an antique store. Sadly, it is no longer in business.
I didn't find a tablecloth, so took a drive out past the covered bridge in hopes of a colorful bird landing in front of my camera lens. No luck there, but I did see this old grain wagon rusting away at the edge of a field. I remember playing in the soybeans in a wagon just like this one, only it was still orange.
Up a hill from the wagon, I spied this old barn. It wasn't a productive errand, but it was a productive drive home.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you will join in the fun.
My idea was to have a place to post 'old things'. Anything old and/or deteriorating such as old houses, barns, outbuildings, old cars, rusty things, antiques, interesting junk, or it can be something in pristine condition, but just old.
1. Link to a post featuring photos of something old.

ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! Hope you have a happy week.
ReplyDeletethat first scene is great! beautiful place! i played in oats in those grain wagons. :) thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteCountry drives are like that sometimes.
ReplyDeleteWheels are HUGE for decorating here. They are all over the yards. The grain wagon, I would never have known what it is, it is kind of lovely in it's poor rusted state.
ReplyDeleteA very productive drive home...I love that old wagon wheel...would love to see the building in the background...have you ever featured it?
ReplyDeleteCan I just post a photo of myself. I qualify as I am both old and deteriorating ;0). Your photos are lovely and very evocative too. I am attempting to blog again, though blogger isn't allowing me to post photos unless I download an app as I'm dong it via iPad. I will try to sort it....... ;0) Jeannie aka Letty xx

As Always, lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteRoan,
ReplyDeleteWagon wheels always catch my eye too. I like the old gravity wagon. We still use one for calf pellets.
Hope you have a wonderful day.
Love your Rubbish Tuesday selections! Great photos! Told my Mom about this meme, because she lives in a small town in Va near rural fields and old farms...I am sure she could find lots to participate with! I promise I will try to find some things here, but the sun destroys everything it touches, and doesn't leave anything for long! :-)
ReplyDeleteHow neat that you have the same stained glass hummingbird picture! Glad you followed my series from Madera Canyon too and knew most of those great birds I have been posting came from there. I do find some around home, too, but that happens less and with lots less variety! :-) Have an awesome week!
Ooo...I get all warm and tingly inside when I see these wonderful things! Thanks for hosting such a cool party!
ReplyDeleteI like this and I also like the house very much.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Very productive, I'd say. Who really needs a tablecloth anyway? :)
ReplyDeletei prefer old things and rubbish that you found over birds. the things you see there are things i can't see here. we have birds but not old cabins and wheels.. i love all things old...
ReplyDeleteI always love seeing your old stuff. The wheel is especially nice!
