Rubbish Tuesday #37

Well, the snow we were expecting didn't show up. There was just enough slush to allow me to take a header down the back steps. Fortunately, unlike the last time I took a header down steps, nothing is broken. It is merely painful. I am such a klutz!

So, needless to say I didn't get around to visit everyone. My left hip hurts, so it is difficult to sit for any length of time. It will not be a good day at work.  This year is not starting off as good as I would have liked, but perhaps that means it will end well.
I took this shot last summer. I'm enjoying the green on this frigid morning. This is an old livestock barn at the edge of the fairgrounds. It isn't in use right now, but after a new coat of paint, I suspect there were pigs in there last August.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you will join in the fun.

My idea was to have a place to post 'old things'. Anything old
and/or deteriorating such as, but not limited to, old houses, barns, outbuildings, old cars, rusty things, antiques, interesting junk, or it can be something in pristine condition, but just old.

1. Link to a post featuring photos of something old.

  1. EW! I'm so sorry you have fallen again. I'm glad you didn't break any bones this time, though.

I think we got your snow. We were supposed to get flurries. Humpf! I have to use a shovel!!

  5. Roan, I like the barn, but so sorry you have a sore hip. I have a sore shoulder and found that I couldn't find any way to sleep last night without aggravating it! Ugh!

Love your old barn, I just can't stop imagining what sort of a life it's had.
Sorry to hear of your fall, glad you didn't break anything.
    Hope you're soon feeling better.

  7. OUCH! I don't even like the thoughts of falling down the steps. One of my nieces did that abut three weeks ago. I could not think of it without cringing. Hope the soreness leaves soon.

I will be back later to link here...but might as well tell you I like this old place.

  9. Oh my gosh! That's awful! I really dread falling...well, I guess everyone does. But, it's so much harder to heal as we get older! Hope that hip gets well quickly! I fell of a bicycle years ago (actually our dog knocked me off) and hurt my hip then...I remember how hard it was to sit at the computer.

  19. Falls are bad and hard to overcome. Trust you will get over it soon and without any lasting affects. With a little clean up around this barn, it would still look okay.

  24. Oh no! Sorry about your fall. A best friend of mine fell yesterday and has terrible bone bruises. These green look great to me even though we don't have snow. We have fairly cold weather this week. 20s and high of 30s.
