But occasionally there is a touch of red, which is my favorite fall color. I don't think this is a tree, more like some vine but I didn't jump over the fence to find out.
There's a squirrel in front of this fence. He was running away from me, but stopped to scratch an itch.
Sunset over the corn. Add a fence and it's a fine rural scene.
Linking to Good Fences
We are not seeing many fall colors around here! I love the last photo, gorgeous sky! Have a happy day!
ReplyDeleteThe fence does complete the scene. Funny squirrel.
ReplyDeleteYou see hardly any red squirrels here thanks to the grey ones taking over, great shot of him.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love that last photo, the colours, the quality of the light, it's perfect. I'd be very tempted to blow that one up and frame it!
i love that last photo and the one of the squirrel is so cute! i like watching them :) have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI love the corn field the best (okay, and the squirrel). Bill tied the corn stalks to my porch when he was home. I love to do that in the fall. I love autumn!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sky in last photo!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking the vine may be Virginia Creeper as it turns bright red in the fall. I'm another one who likes the third photo. :))
ReplyDeleteLots of red in the trees this year, red then gone fleeting beauty so glad you captured some:) Hug B
ReplyDeleteWe don't get much color this time of year either...but it's because of the temperate zone.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the 'wascally' squirrel!!!
I remember from my days in Illinois how quickly the leaves go from bright colors to brown, then gone. Those red vines always add a bit of dimension. I'd say the old gate has been there a looooong time!
ReplyDeletethe fence/sun shot ... is awesome! so gorgeous! you really caught a beautiful moment. i appreciate ya sharing it with us bloggy friends. ( :
ReplyDeleteRoan,
ReplyDeleteI really like the last shot. The natural textures and colors are a beautiful combination.
Oh, there ARE lots of fall colors in your post♡♡♡ Lovely squirrel and the purplish blue(maybe) fence in front of the orange sunset is amazing♪♪♪
ReplyDeleteSending Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*
your description of fall, there, sounded like texas! i thought, 'wait a second! she doesn't live here any more!' :)
ReplyDeletelove your fence scenes and your 'not-so-scared' varmint.
Gosh, your pictures are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteHe may be checking if his belly is full enough! Cute little squirrel. I have a lot of those yellow to brown and they all seem to have weeds that turn a beautiful shade of red too!
ReplyDeleteIt will be awhile before we see any colors here. I love them and enjoying seeing the leaves turn so bright and vivid red.
ReplyDeleteThat last image is especially stunning!!
ReplyDeleteLove the last photo of the sunset.
ReplyDeleteThe last shot's colouring is really lovely.
ReplyDeleteThat last photo looks like a painting. Just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYes red is a wonderful color in fall and I wouldn't want to climb over that fence either with the barbed wire at the top. Cute little shot of the squirrel. I've got to say that last shot was so lovely. A perfect rural scene indeed.
ReplyDeleteAlready mentioned my love of your awesome photos in my last comment. Did want to tell you that we actually saw a mountain lion scramble across the road on our trip toward home last July! It was moving slowly at first, and by the time we realized what it was in our approaching car, the car behind us in the other lane was whizzing by and honked at the poor thing and it dashed off. I was juggling the camera, trying to get it up to my face, but wasn't quick enough! :-( It was exciting to see him though!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely colours!
ReplyDeleteOh, that sunset scene is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love the reds in autumn, too. I saw a huge red leafy vine covering a good portion of a tree yesterday as I was driving. I should have stopped to take a photo as today it is raining. :(
P.S. If you didn't see the reply on my blog - next time we are going to be through Greenup, I'll be sure to let you know. :D

I love the way the vines go almost to the tops of trees. But seems no matter how I try, I do not get a shot to do them justice.
ReplyDeleteThat last shot is about as good as it gets!
This last picture is my favorite, it is so beautiful. The sky, the old leaning fence and the corn.
ReplyDeleteLove that pop of red! Silly squirrel.
ReplyDeleteThe squirrel has a nice pose for you, the red vine is pretty too we get that kind of vine,as well. The rural scene is also lovely.
ReplyDeleteLove that last shot!
ReplyDeleteThese are nice! Beautiful sky in the last photo!
ReplyDeleteMy personal favorite image is your third shot. The colors and composition is super.
ReplyDeleteVery very nice fence shots. I like all three. Especially like seeing a red squirrel. Don't see those guys too often.
ReplyDeleteI really like the corn field...great shot.
ReplyDeleteWe won't be seeing much color until the end of October. Even then, it won't be much. Your sunset over the corn field is really beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI so love fences!!!!
ReplyDeleteSome lovely autumn pictures, particularly the last one. Oh, and great fences shots.
ReplyDeleteDiana
We get a lot of dingy brown too. Only years with lots of rain do we get great oranges and yellows.
