I found a corn crib that looks a lot like the one by Bro O's house, only the top has a higher peak on this one.
This old house had some goodies stowed on the front porch. An old school desk and a table, along with some assorted pots and pans. Then there is the not quite as old broom. This house is not that far from Greenup, so I'm wondering if the desk came out of the Greenup school which was torn down several years ago. The desk looks like some I had back in the day.
Not sure what this is. It isn't far from the river. Looks like some type of water pipes???
Peeking out over a corn field, was this top portion of an old barn. The corn is supposed to be knee high by the 4th of July, but this corn is way taller than that. It was a good year for planting.
An old outhouse that appears to have had some TLC over the years.
And lastly, an old mailbox. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you will join in the fun.
My idea was to have a place to post 'old things'. Anything old and/or deteriorating such as old houses, barns, outbuildings, old cars, rusty things, antiques, interesting junk, or it can be something in pristine condition, but just old.
1. Link to a post featuring photos of something old.
2. Link back to Rubbish by Roan in your post.
3. As time allows, visit other participants and comment on their posts.

I like the rusty corn crib!
I like the barn peeking over the corn!
Ah, you know I love stuff like this, especially that front porch, although I'm kind glad my front porch doesn't look like that... Yet. Lol. That pipe thing looks like a well head. Is it down at ground level? All great photos. I'll be back to link up tomorrow.
My parents used to have a farm and I loved playing in the old corn crib. I had to sneak in there, though, because it was decrepit and I wasn't supposed to be in there...
They're all great! Tom The Backroads Traveller
you found some great finds! love the corncrib and the school desk! the outhouse is a classic. :)
We were out in the country and saw some rubbish that was perfectly set and manicured amid flowers. They obviously know the value of rubbish! And antiques.
these are all great but i especially love the shot of the porch!
I love that desk!
i love the old desk. so cool! ( :
I think what I love the best is the old schoolhouse desk and things. To me, it is quite poignant and very sad. It is the survivor of really innocent school years when no one had to be afraid. No shootings, no metal detectors.
WHat lovely shots - looks so lush everywhere.
That old desk is a great find. But it's not going to last long exposed to the elements. Somebody needs to give it some tlc. :(
Excellent bits of rubbish!
Great finds on your rambling. I like the old school desk.
Hi Roan. Love the collection you show here and the old school desk definitely brings back memories.. I have taken so many pix of stuff that will work on this meme while we're up here in Alaska and as soon as I get back to normal (or as close as I ever come) I do plan to link up here. (While we're traveling I have limited time, energy, and internet connection so I'm lucky if I can get one or two posts a week up.)
When do you open the meme? Is it Monday morning?
You sure have some nice shots here...I love that old school desk. And the one of the mailbox is a superb shot in my opinion.
Thanks for hosting this...not sure how many I will get to visit since Lorelei is still and going home tomorrow...but will try to visit as time allows.
I just can't find good stuff like this. Everything around here and on the islands is 'citified'. Great images.
Looks like you had a good rubbish adventure, Roan.
The school desk is my favorite find.
I have never seen a corn crib before - so that's fun! I really love the old desk, too bad they've just left it out there on the porch. I would definitely use it. The old barn is nice too. SO many things I like, in fact. :)
I do like that post box - I think I'm going to have to find some posts for this link, it's good.
Sorry for slow reply - hectic weeks!
Cheers - Stewart M
