A little Willy Nilly Five this morning. Or this could be titled Willy Nilly Five Grumbles!
1. I'm wondering why bloggers don't hide their blogs where they no longer post. Unless I'm a regular visitor, I have trouble figuring out which blog is active and which has been abandoned. Something to think about.
2. I am about ready to call our cable provider and cancel service. The internet is still stuttering and my telephone service...well may as well not have it. When someone calls, I can hear them, but they can't hear me. I called earlier in the week to complain, yet again, and I was informed a tech couldn't come out until next Friday. Not this Friday, NEXT Friday. And I just saw a commercial talking about their wonderful service. I'm thinking it is false advertising. Either they have no employees or they have a whole lot of problems, like mine.
3. The maintenance man ran his lawnmower into the front corner of my car, which means I had to make a claim against my employer for damages. Never a good thing in my opinion, but it was too ugly to let go. Note the grass spewed everywhere. This has been the way of it for the past several weeks. I guess I should have complained before he got this close.
4. Winter is just around the corner. The low tonight will be in the 30s. Must bring my plants inside. And they looked so nice on the front porch all summer. Grumble, grumble, grumble!
5. Okay, so I'll end my post on an up note. Cox's Body Shop did an awesome job repairing my car. They told me when it would be ready and it actually was! Now how many times does that happen? It was also sparkly clean. Now that's great customer service. I will be recommending them any chance I get.

it's so hard to find great customer service anymore...so glad that at least that went well for you! i have several blogs that have been deserted in my side bar. i keep them there i guess in case they ever decide to update lol...i really need to weed them out though! hope your phone issues are resolved soon, gah! have a great weekend and thanks for linking...better turn that heater on tonight, brrr!!
It feels good to vent, doesn't it?!
I'm glad your car turned out well.
Some days are so bad the next have to be better!
I don't know how to hide my blogs. Some are less active than the others!
Hi, Roan....where better to vent than to us bloggers...we get it! Glad you had good service with your car. Our internet service is good, but the price keeps going up. I'm afraid to change for a better price, but do have other choices. Hmmmm. On customer service, when I got my pedicure, I had the owner, Frank. He said he had let some of his workers go because of customer service. He was just shaking his head in frustration.
Hurray for a Good Car Outcome!!!
Hey Betty,
You should see the crate that I drive...wish mine looked as good as yours. Nice winter shot! Tom The Backroads Traveller
I would at least tell them I wanted a reduced rate on my bill...and if they weren't willing to give one, I would be looking somewhere else. To go over a week without being able to use your phone deserves a big break in my opinion.
I am also to the point where I would almost just shut cable off completely...I get tired of paying the huge bill for a dozen channels that we watch.l
I best hush...will say glad your bumper was done in a timely fashion and that you had something good to share;-)
well, a happy ending, at least. good luck with phone/internet!
I am hoping that next week will be grumble free for you. Well, we can always hope, now, can't we?
we don't have cable any more & if we could get internet service another way we would get rid of them totally. their prices are just plain silly. ( :
i wonder about some blogs & their owners ... where they go? if they are ok? you really get use to seeing them & then some just vanish. i know we all live separate lives but still? you miss them.
I liked Mom's comment--hoping next week's post will get to be grumble-free! Here's hoping you have an awesome week! Oooh, 30s. I'm shocked you guys are getting it this soon! (Great photo, too, by the way!) I totally agree with you about people having long lists of blogs and you can't figure out which one is the main one! Often they are just "other" blogs that are still active, though. It would be nice if blogger would list things on your profile page to tell people what each blog is: A Colorful World, Marie's Main Blog; piece-fulness, Marie's quilting blog....etc. Oh well. :-)Glad you got your car fixed well and quickly! Again, I sure hope you have a great week, Roan!
WooHoo for good customer service!
Sometimes when it rains trouble it pours. Better days are ahead.
Your last picture is just stunning, I LOVE it!!! Gosh, what is wrong with that man?? How could someone even do something like this...maybe he had been drinking? So glad your car was all fixed so fast. I would really switch providers, you do not want to keep a service that treats you like this and has no concern about their service. Cancel the appointment and get a new company.
You've cause to grumble! Same temp forecast here, plus rain/snow mix. I'm so disgusted. We're having our family early Thanksgiving because early October is mild and sunny. Not so this time. High of 43, low of 27 and cloudy for tomorrow. I'll be bringing in my plants too. Hope your cable service gets better!
Well that's a bummer about your car but at least it was fixed in a timely manner.
I hate it when companies don't give you an exact "time" when they plan to show up to repair something. We have Direct TV & so far no problems.
Brrr...on the cold weather. Getting down here as well but still not that cold.
I know what you mean about the blogs. I got an update today that said it was from a blog that I regularly visit but when I opened it up it was so not that person's blog.
Good luck with the phone/internet. Hope you have a great weekend!
Perhaps those who no longer blog don't know how to hide their blog.
Glad you got your car fixed! Love the shot of the trees - beautiful!
Oh dear! You did have a bad week. Well, I'm glad it ended well with good customer service.
