Come on spring! I can't wait to get out and take some more lousy pictures of birds. Good shots are always elusive, but I enjoy the trying.
I had a hair appointment last week and parked my car on a side street. I was early, so instead of sitting inside I decided to enjoy the last remnants of a sunny day—from inside the car. As I was jammin' to a little Bon Jovi, I happened to look up and see this interesting decor. The house was probably built in the 1920s. I wonder if this decorative touch was added when the house was built or later.
How about a little pup update? Do you see that huge beef knuckle? On my bed? Fergus and Findley were having a loud discussion about who the knuckle belonged to and decided to get comfortable while they decided—on my bed! Good thing it was wash day!

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you will join in the fun.
My idea was to have a place to post 'old things'. Anything old
and/or deteriorating such as, but not limited to, old houses, barns, outbuildings, old cars, rusty things, antiques, interesting junk, or it can be something in pristine condition, but just old.
1. Link to a post featuring photos of something old.
2. Link back to Rubbish by Roan in your post.
3. As time allows, visit other participants and comment on their posts.

I spent yesterday taking lousy pictures of birds on the Somerset Levels with the camera I got for Christmas, I really though having it was going to turn me into David Bailey too! I did get a couple of good ones of robins (not quite the wildlife I was looking for). I haven't joined in with Rubbish Tuesday for such a long time but I will try to put something together either this week or next, it's still one of my favourite link ups!
Great trim on the gable of the house. Come on now enjoy winter, it won't last forever. Tom The Backroads Traveller
Very cool with the moon and star! Those two puppers look like they are living the good life!
Fergus and Findley were in deep doo-doo, for sure. They are adorable. I'd say the decoration on the house was on the original. Wonder what they were thinking. Reminds me of an out house.
love the house eave accent! and love your boys. my house always has a bunch of those mammoth bones around. i always make them 'start' them outside so the worst of the beef and fats come off out there, but even a year old, they'll still leave a bit of residue on the carpet - and bone chips every time the dogs chew on them.
Love the eave of that house that you just happened to notice. Sometimes treasures are there all along and we don't bother to really look at them. Cute picture of the dogs! Hope any stains came out! :-)
Interesting to see the moon and star cutouts! Cute photo of Fergus and Findley!
Oh i wish spring was just around the corner, not so much for Minnesota. Great design, that is just the kind of thing that grabs my attention on houses. Like in the movie Michael, they feature a Milk Bottle motel and the shutters have milk bottle cut-outs in them! Your pups are adorable too!
What a pretty wooden house! Reminds me about Russia...
Cute pups, they can do anything, what should be banned?
Great place for the sun and moon carving. Good thing you looked up. Very cool!

Those rascally pups!! At least they weren't fighting for the photo shoot. lol They're so cute. It's almost easy to forgive a messy chew bone on the bed. Well, maybe... :-)
I decided that I could post my photo of the old Stout farm barn after all, because it IS old. Thanks for the linky.
Great eye for spotting the decorative trim on this house. Love the dogs!
I love the star and the moon! I bet it would be so dreamy to live in this house. You make me feel great now! The way you said how close spring is. I think you will be cheering up a lot of bloggers on this gloomy Monday! Your dogs look so much like mine when I was a teenager, they are cute. UGH, knuckle bed...
I like the star and moon! The window is cool, too.
The doggies are cute!
oh my gosh, ferg and find are so cute and really look like they are behaving with that one bone! that's a neat little tippy top of the house!
I love that gingerbread work!!! As for the pups - there is a reason I use a darkish grey polar fleece blanket as a bedspread, rather than one of my many handmade quilts...
Such good dogs! They sure are a pair...can just tell from the look in their eyes that they are fun to be around. Even if they do jump on the bed!
I would love to know if that decorative touch was added when built or later on. I have never seen anything quite like it. I like that little window up there, too.
I meant to say I so agree with your comment about you couldn't wait to get out and take some more lousy shots of birds--that is how I feel about myself. But I do enjoy the trying! Makes the occasional half decent one that much more enjoyable.
Okay, finally I am joining in too. I've been enjoying your Rubbish Tuesday posts, and everyone else that posts too, and it seems like a wide range of rubbish, so here I am. My own priceless little rubbish, I love him so.
Glad you had time to look around and find this interesting house. Nothing like the moon and stars to get your attention.
What a neat gable! I'm itching to get out and take some lousy pictures of birds, too.
Just wanted to mention that I tried to click on Liz Needle link to view her blog and it said the page is not available to me.
The eve decorations on the house are quite interesting. Looks like your dogs were really taking their liberty (and enjoying themselves)! Our dog Ginger was originally an outdoor dog, but as she got older she joined the rest of the family inside. Now her official bed is either the couch or her chair--thankfully she lets us all keep our own beds. ;) She is a sweet old puppy.
Love the trim on that house. And let those sweet pups eat in bed. Even if it is your bed.
Nice details on that house! It would be hard to be upset with those pups when they look at you with those sweet eyes.
Cute puppies!
Cute decor on the house. Sure do like the photo of Fergus and Findley. They look like "double trouble" in this shot! :D Oh, they are just too cute!
