Critter Question

Does anyone know what kind of bird this is? I've been through my bird book, but can't decide.

I find shore birds difficult to identify. I need lots of clues. :)

Looks like some sort of stilt, I think. Great shots of the mystery bird!

No idea. We don't have many shorebirds here so I'm not familiar with most of them.

I am about useless at identifying these shore birds. Have you looked at the types of sandpipers, etc at All About Birds?

Will pass it on to me friend who is a bird expert.

It is a cute shorebird. I want to say it is a Yellowlegs. But, it could be another type of Sandpiper. I am catching up after being away, thank you for linking up to my critter party.. Have a happy day!
