Bro O has retired from farming, which means he doesn't need all those spare parts hanging around. He has been rounding up all the old equipment and sending it off to those who want it. This seems to be the last of it. Looks like old parts of combines or cornpickers to me.
This old wheel is decorating the side of Bro's workshop. I love these old rusty wheels. I don't know where it came from. I should have asked.
These are metal boxes in the courthouse. Wills are housed here. Several are from the late 1800's. The first box is from 1944. My grandmother's will is in the 1958 box.
Come join in the fun! The idea is to post a photograph of anything old and/or deteriorating i.e. house, barn, outbuilding, something rusty, antiques, interesting junk, or something in pristine condition, but just plain old.

I love a good ole rusty wheel decoration, we have a smaller version next to our barn.
I forgot about it opening today, till I had done posted a pic....but I have one set to publish this evening and will link if I remember!
I love those old wheels, too...and I like the pic of all those metal boxes.
Will boxes!! How interesting. Something totally new to me. Working on Genealogy a lot, I'd love to find stuff like this and check out ancestors. Wondering if each state historical/courthouses have this kinda thing.
I'll post my 'rubbish' tomorrow.
Oh, I love the photo of those safe deposit boxes! (is that what they are?) Cool photo. I'll be back tomorrow to link up. :-)
Those boxes are really neat!

Those old photos are wonderful!
Those boxes are really neat!
I would love a wall of those old boxes. That would be great.
Metal wheel can be a decoration of the garden :)
Wheels like this are really huge around here. Houses put them right in front by the road and sometimes plant flowers around them. Do you have a plan for the courthouse boxes? Will you paint them? There is so much you could do with them, craft supplies, sewing things, fabrics.
The rusty wheel is fun and the "will boxes" are interesting! Never heard of such a thing.
Love that wheel!
I find the wheel really appealing. And those boxes are neat too! Happy Tuesday!
I really like that old wheel.
love the old wheel
ps...thanks for the will info!!
Love the idea of the will boxes - the stories that must lie inside them! That's a great wheel too.
I love the old farm equipment. I didn't have anything old to post this week. I hope to find something to photograph so I can join in next week, ;)
I like those metal drawers.
I tend to take pictures of almost anything that catches my eye - walks with me can be rather slow!!

Love the wheel and those boxes are really neat.
Great post today Roan. The photos are wonderful!
I would just love to have one of those rusty old wheels leaning on the side of my house! Nice shots.
That's a lot of work to clean up all of those old parts no longer needed. Love the wheel!
I love your trash meme. I just haven't had time to fit one in! Danged wedding... :-)
That's quite a pile of rubbish in the first photo. :) I love those old wheels.
