Rubbish Tuesday #14

Arcola, Illinois, a mecca of interesting architecture. I love old buildings and there are plenty here. These were taken last year during the Broomcorn Festival.

This one is in San Franciso. My favorite vacation spot!

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you will join in the fun.

My idea was to have a place to post 'old things'.  Anything old and/or deteriorating such as old houses, barns, outbuildings, old cars, rusty things, antiques, interesting junk, or it can be something in pristine condition, but just old.

1. Link to a post featuring photos of something old.
2. Link back to Rubbish by Roan in your post.
3. As time allows, visit other participants and comment on their posts.

I agree, I love the old brick buildings too. Love the first click! San Francisco is one cool place. I am so happy when I clicked over here this morning that I read your idea for what to be posted for Rubbish Tuesday.. I been agonizing looking for rubbish. Not that there isn't lots of it in my bit of country. But having read your ideas it seems easier now.. :) Everybody is already posting, tomorrow is ok right?

GORGEOUS older buildings! I love old architecture, and especially love it when an old building continues in use or is refurbished for a new use. These are great for your Rubbish Tuesday post!

I'm like you, I have trouble recognizing the different kinds of birds, and need my bird books a LOT. It's hard when you can't really get a grip on the size, like that tiny verdin.

Wow, that church is really beautiful! Gorgeous details on all the other building facades you shared, as well.

Hope your week is off to a great start. Thanks for hosting!

Hi Roan, I've been enjoying looking at your rubbish Tuesday posts so today decided to try and link up. I'm really not au fait with the linking stuff yet but have done my best. I have acknowledged you in my post and will continue to investigate and try and work it out so I can do it properly in the future.

Nothing beats the old style buildings. The curves and intricate patterns...very unlike the drabness of modern architecture.

GREAT photos.

Me again Roan. I think I have it sussed, so simple when you have time to look properly.
I love the old buildings in your shots, such detail in the old time architecture.

Love the detail in the old architecture. There is nothing like it today. Modern is not my thing, that's for sure. Thanks for sharing these wonderful buildings!

What a fun Meme...everyone has a bit of Nice Rubbish to share. I sure do, so I thought I'd join you this Tuesday. I've never been to San Francisco so your photos are an inspiration to add it to my travel list. Such beautiful architecture and loaded with history. Thanks for hosting.
