On the way back from the garden, we always watch for deer and other critters. I rarely get a good shot of these critters, but it is fun to see them and give it a try.
Two deer were hanging out at the back of a field. Bad thing was, along the road, the fence row is grown up in trees and weeds. There was one little hole and Hubs found it.
When I raised my camera, these two bunnies were posed perfectly. Not so much when I took the shot.

Celandine Poppy. I found this little flower while walking through Douglas Hart Nature Center. It wasn't familiar to me, so I dug out my Illinois Wildflowers book, which says it isn't common in this area. It likes the southern most and northen most counties. Well, what is wrong with central most? Guess this one decided to give our area a try. The roots were once used to make yellow dye. Who knew?

Good Morning,
You did a great job of capturing the deer and rabbits as fast as they are!
What a sweet flower.
Enjoy your day.
Roan,
It's neat to see wildlife. While checking cows on Thursday morning I saw a baby antelope. I got one shot before it ran away.
Beautiful Poppy capture.
Is your Hubby willing to share his famous salsa recipe? If so, e-mail me. Here is the recipe I use: http://theranchwifechronicles.com/pw's-restaurant-style-salsa-with-a-twist/.

beautiful poppy! loved your critters, too!
Nice! The deer is framed just right by the hole.
The deer are pretty and I love the cute bunnies. Pretty flower, a lovely series..Thank you for linking up with my critter party. Have a happy weekend!
It's always nice to see critters even if you don't get photos of them. The deer are beautiful animals.
Honestly this is a yellow poppy? WOW! Poppies are my favorite flowers, and my favorite to snap, And I have never heard of this kind. Wish I could see it in person. There is also a very rare blue poppy. Love the deer and bunny pics, it looks like the bunnies are running from the deer.
I posted a bunny picture today too. My bunny froze absolutely still when he sensed I was watching.
At least you caught the bunnies running away. They are too fast for me.
You did a good job of catching the bunnies in motion and that is beautiful flower
Great observations and great bunnies.
Well I am glad you managed to capture both the Deer and the bunnies this time. Did you follow me across the bridge today? Were you brave enough? Have a wonderful weekend.
The poppy is gorgeous!! I have never heard of it before!
And I love the action shots!!! Somehow, bunnies look more natural when they are moving...
Beautiful captures. In rescue, I have raised many baby bunnies who were orphaned. I adore them.
Those rabbits were just a hare (LOL) too quick for your camera! That is a gorgeous yellow flower..just shouts out summer!
i don't believe i have ever seen a poppy like this one. neat bloom. ( :
Gorgeous flowers and cute bunnies!
Sweet critters and a lovely bright poppy!
I am linking to both these memes this week also. :-) LOVE your flower! And the running bunnies. :-) I loved you telling me about your Wednesdays with your grandparents. yes, indeed VERY special. We went back to AL to see ours as often as we could, and always treasured each visit so much. Having grandparents in a child's life can mean so much.
Deers and running bunnies are SO LOVELY♡♡♡ Yellow poppy is beautiful; pink ones are popular I think but your yellow one is special(^_^)V
Sending Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*
Love your critter photos! The Celandine Poppies ARE pretty but also terribly invasive. I am constantly ripping them out of my gardens because they seem to think the garden is ALL theirs. ;))
Your photos are gorgeous ! I love poppies !
I like your bird, deer and rabbit photos you have to be so quick to catch the good photo.
