Willy Nilly Sky Watch

Lots of blue in this shot!

Now on to my Willy Nilly Five

1. It's darn cold this morning! 17 degrees! The windows are frosted up on my car, which means I'll need to go out and start the car or scrape the windows and I can't find the ice scraper from last winter. I sure do miss the garage I had when I lived in Dallas. I didn't really need it there, but here I do. Must consider building one!

2. I'm enjoying a hot cup of coffee on this frosty morning. I don't think I could ever give it up. What about you? Are you a coffee drinker or do you prefer some other morning beverage?

3. I've been working on a family cook book to give my kids as Christmas gifts. It has become a huge project. I've tried taking pics of some of the recipes so the cookbook will be more interesting than a bunch of typing, but don't have enough. So, I've decided to put in a few pics of family members involved in the eating, drinking, or preparing of food. I think it makes for more interest. Pics such as this one of Punky Doodle...

You thought that? Really? It's cider!

4. Fergus has decided he doesn't like my being on the computer, so he jumps up on the bed behind me, puts his paws on the arm of the chair, and nudges me rather harshly with his snout! Guess I better hurry so I can get in some ear scratching time before work.

5. Last, but not least and you may have heard this before, Findley will come to live with us tomorrow. I sure hope Fergus likes him!

I'm a coffee drinker...turn on the Keurig first thing. The dogs can be so demanding! He all works well with Findley. Can't wait to see pics.

A garage! What's a garage? My rust bucket has never been in a garage. Tom The Backroads Traveller

I don't drink coffee, never have in all my 80 years. So, I guess it's too late to learn. I drink some hot tea but usually I'll just pour me a glass of sweet iced tea even on the coldest mornings. Guess I am just the odd man out.

There is just something about having a scrape a windshield (and all the windows) on a vehicle that is SO ANNOYING. Until my Jeep can live in the garage again, I do the same thing - run out and quick start the Jeep, then dash back indoors and wait until the car is warm.

Try to stay cozy warm this weekend. And that reminds me, I've got to go put wood on the fire!

I know you will be showing us pictures of Findley, I can't wait! Your book idea is wonderful!! Like a family scrapbook combined with recipes. Is that a toilet bowl mug??

Photos like the one of punky doodle and her cup will make for an interesting cookbook!
I am a big coffee drinker too and I don't think I could give it up.

We always had iced tea in our household and I have always been a heavy tea drinker (see Mom's comment above, Latane) But I am also a coffee drinker in the morning. Love the idea of the cookbooks for your kids. Mom made me one when I got married, of all her best recipes. It's a treasure! I know where my ice scraper is, and we probably won't use it once this year (well, maybe ONCE!!!) :-) But, there are a LOT of things that have disappeared on me, and I have no idea where they are and well, I guess I should be looking for things, organizing my house, and cleaning too, right now instead of posting and commenting, but well, the thought of it just makes me TIRED! :-)

it has been so cold here too! love the idea of the cookbook. we have one that one of nick's relatives put together "breese family recipes" and she passed them out at a reunion. we all pitched in and donated recipes. on the cover are nick's ggg grandparents...it's pretty neat. maybe you could put in family tidbits of history too! cute picture of punky doodle, and that's a funny cup! hope fergus has fun with his company...ozzy is very bossy like that too when i'm on the computer, pushes my hands away from the keyboard with his snout...dogs are so funny!
thank you for linking and have a great weekend!

I do need that cup of hot cup of coffee first thing in the morning especially since it has gotten cold here. I can feel your excitement for the new dog. Hope it goes well for you.

I've never had a garage before but every year when it snows or frosts over I long for one too.
Coffee is my morning beverage of choice.
Hoping the new dog works out.
The cookbook sounds like a fun idea.
