The pups, Fergus and Findley, enjoy walking around Lincoln Log Cabin Historical Site. They like seeing the sheep, Ms Cow, and the chickens. They don't care much for the old boar hog. He grunts at them and they run.
The sheep run loose these days. The dogs take the long way around them. They obviously do not have the herding instincts Border Collies should have. Too much easy living.
Findley. Giving me his exasperated look. He doesn't like it when I stop to take pictures. He wants to get on with the walking and sniffing part.
This is a chicken coop. Glad to see they have received some funding for repairs. This looks like it will be a good fence when it is finished.
The old fence was in dire need of repairs. The chickens didn't seem to mind. They had more freedom.

When they finish that fence around the chicken coop those birds will just love finding all the bugs in that high grass!
I like this post a lot.
And LOVE the fur baby shot...it's like "Well, come on Ma...let's get going!"

Wonderful images, Roan. I smiled at the last shot of the chicken peeking through the fence.

The scene with the sheep is so pretty and pastoral. Loved the chicken peeking under the fence. Glad the dogs enjoy this place.
Great shot of the chicken trying to escape under that fence!
Wow...great photos of these country critters!

LOL! Do the chickens have a secret exit?
I LOVE this place! That log barn with the covered wagon under the eave...how I would adore having something like that! Findley is cute. Loved seeing the farm animals, but I was so entranced by the buildings at this vintage farm!
Looks like the chickens have found an escape hatch!
Have a great weekend!
I love these photos! And what a beautiful header you have there! I'm still missing 'Rubbish Tuesdays' meme, but understand how much work is involved in keeping up with something like that. Have a wonderful Thursday.
